Konate in World Cup

France Coach Didier Deschamp has Wednesday October 9, 2022 included Liverpool Center-back Ibrahim Konate in the 25 men squad for the #Qatar2022 #FIFA World Cup squad.
The 23-years old is one of the surprise names included in the defending Champions squad having made only two appearances for the senior Les Bleus.
Konate's first appearance to the senior team came on June 4th, 2022 during the UEFA Nations League, replacing Raphael Varane due to injury.
Thought he had previously played for France's youth teams, he made his full international debut on 10 June 2022 in a 1-1 draw against Austria.

France will start its 2018 title defence against Australia before taking on Denmark and Tunisia.
